Our family business, Layered Interio, began with our great-grandmother, who started this work locally in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh — the heart of India's carpet belt. The craft has stayed in the family ever since.
Today a new generation is bringing that same craft online as Rugloops, so homes across India can own a rug made by hand in Mirzapur — bringing warmth, texture and character to modern rooms.

Design meets craft
Our in-house studio develops every design, from colour palettes to yarn choices. Each one is then hand-tufted or hand-knotted by artisans whose skills have been passed down over generations.
