A pale open field is held completely still by a border of even, measured weight two tonal planes meeting without transition or ornament. Hand-knotted in 100% New Zealand wool, the compacted pile between 8 and 12 millimetres gives the surface a flat, pressed density that carries light without reflecting it. The border does not decorate it completes.
